HARSHMANJAMES R.Age 89, of North Fayette, formerly of Crafton; beloved husband of 68 years to Virginia (Capes) Harshman; father of Mary (Richard) Johnston, Jane (John) Douglas, James G. (Timi), John, and Nancy Harshman, and the late Joanne and Susan Harshman; also nine grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren; one late grandson, one great- granddaughter. Jim was a WWII veteran with the US Navy and a member of the American Legion Frank R. Kirk Post 145 and the Knights of Columbus Council 875, Crafton, a former Scout Master of Troop 146, and a coach/manager of CIT. Also, Jim was a former active member of St. Philip's and the Church of Ascension choirs. Friends and family received Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Parish, Oakdale on Tuesday 9:30 a.m. Burial will be with full military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
