Richard J. Sobocinski

SOBOCINSKIRICHARD J. Age 87, of Crafton, peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Husband of the late Donna (Tymus) Sobocinski; beloved father of Richard G. (Karen), Donald (Joanne) and J. Randall (Michael Young) Sobocinski; dear grandfather of Sophia, Stephanie, Wilson and Clay; five great-grandchildren; brother of the late Irwin Sobocinski; also survived by a niece and nephews. Dick was a graduate of Clemson University where he lettered with the winning football team in the 1951 Orange Bowl. He also was a US Army veteran during the Korean War, a member of the K of C Chartiers Council #875, the West End Pulaski Club and an avid card player in the Crafton community and golfer with two holes in one. He also was formerly in the insurance profession for over 40 years. Friends received Tuesday 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the SCHEPNER - McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Philip Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the St. Philip School, 52 W.
