Charles A. Butler, age 79, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Beloved husband of 43 years to Beth (Russell) Butler. Loving father of Charnelle (Zeki) Gungor, Brian (April), Gary, Charles (Keshia) Butler; grandfather of Sidney, Zachary, Rico, Arionna, Brian Jr., Charles Jr., Charlee, and Alaya; brother of Barbara J. Shaw, the late Billy Butler, Albert M. Butler, Jr., Laura Howell, Audrey Goodwin, Kenneth Butler, and Bud A. Butler; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins. Charles was the first Butler family member to graduate from college. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was looked at by many as a father figure. He was a craftsman and enjoyed gambling. Relatives and friends received Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Everyone please meet at the funeral home on Thursday 9:30 AM for procession to Allegheny Cemetery where a committal service will be held.
