Christine "Chrissie" (Yopek) Minor

Christine “Chrissie” JoAnn (Yopek) Minor went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 8, 2023, after a brief illness in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on September 24, 1950, in Erie, PA. After graduating McDowell Senior High School in 1968 she worked in the Erie area until she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1979 where she completed her bachelor’s degree in business administration at Texas A&M University. After returning to Pennsylvania, she founded the Summit Accounting Group in 1991, where she genuinely loved working with her clients. In 2023 she took on an additional role as a volunteer at Pinnacle Hospice and was beloved by all.

Chrissie’s favorite pastimes were playing tennis, kayaking, spending time with family on vacations in the Carolinas, and animals, especially her beloved cat, Claire. She was also a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Bridgeville, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lottie Yopek and her brother, Edward Yopek. She is survived by her sisters Barbara Breeden, Patricia Yopek and Marcia Staudt, her nieces Kimberly, Colleen, Josephine and Michael, and her longtime best friend Thekla Bentzel.

Relatives and friends received at the SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC,165 Noble Avenue, Crafton on Friday, July 14 from 3 to 7 PM followed by a short service immediately after. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Erie, PA.
