Daniel T. Clayton

Daniel Thomas Clayton age 40 of Crafton Heights unexpectedly on Saturday November 7, 2020.  Beloved Son of Linda (Kinzey) and the late Thomas M. Clayton.  Brother of Kacie (Eric) Jankoski.  Uncle of Cole, Leah and Quinn.  Grandson of Roberta (Berry) and the late Thomas L. Clayton, and the late Robert W. and Marie (Pittinato) Kinzey.  Dan was a 1998 graduate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School where he played basketball and soccer, and a 2002 graduate of Robert Morris University where he was a proud member of the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the wonderful friends and family who have helped Dan over the years.  Dan battled depression and addiction for many years and is now at peace.  Dan, and all those battling these diseases, are people first.  Dan was a brother, an uncle, a son and a grandson.  He was a nephew, a cousin and a great friend.  He was funny, and caring.  He loved the History Channel (like his sister), Game of Thrones (like his brother-in-law) and sports, and especially enjoyed watching his nephew play soccer.  He never missed a special day in the lives of Cole, Leah and Quinn.  You could find him at dace competitions or making TikToks with his nieces.  He loved his mother more than anything and never went a day without talking with her.  He was a person who had more struggles than most and we are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to share our lives with him.  We know he is looking down on us, along with his Dad, embracing what lies beyond.  Please remember, especially in these hard days, that kindness matters.  Everyone you meet is fighting a battle which you know nothing about. 

Visitation will be held in the Schepner McDermott Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 10th at 12 Noon to 4:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home.
