Edward J. Brizek

Edward J. Brizek, age 96, of Crafton Heights, on Sunday, September 11, 2022.  Beloved husband of the late Florence Brizek and cherished father of Elizabeth Brizek.  He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Sventi and brothers Francis, John, and Joseph Brizek.  Ed was a baker for 65 years working at Real Pie, Weiss Bakery and Jenny Lee Bakery.  He was a lifelong member of NSS Life and The Slovak Catholic Sokol.  He was an avid gardener and maintained a vegetable garden for 59 years.  He so enjoyed the friends made and time spent at Silver Sneakers.  A heart felt thank you to the nurses and therapists who worked so diligently to restore Ed back to health.  May God bless them.  Relatives and friends received Wednesday 1-3 & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER=McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton.  Funeral prayer Thursday 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Ascension Church of St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
