EDWARD T. PLATA II

Age 40, of Sheraden, unexpectedly was called home on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Beloved father of Demitri and Airiana. Son of June Staple and Edward T. Plata, Sr. Brother of Kimberly Plata, Jessica Smida, and Cheyenne Heinold. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Loving and devoted partner to Dawn Marie Smith. Ed was a sergeant in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne serving during Iraq and fought global terrorism. Visitation SUNDAY ONLY, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton, PA 15205. (No viewing on Monday). Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Philip Catholic Church. Due to the current health crisis, masks are required and social distancing. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors. NO FLOWERS PLEASE.
