Edward Anthony "Spinney" Spinnenweber, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born on September 3, 1939 in Mt. Oliver, son of the late Anthony J. and Harriett (Grant) Spinnenweber. He was the husband of Kathleen (Manz) Spinnenweber for 54 years, the devoted dad of Jill (Scott) O'Hair and Amy (Michael) Rynn, and proud Pap Pap of Emma and Ryan O'Hair and Connor, Anna and Caroline Rynn. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (late Ronald) Kopy, brothers-in-law Frank (the late Barbara) and Leo (Kathi) Manz, cousins, nieces and nephews. Ed had several beloved dogs over the years: Jasper, Eddie, and Casey. He leaves behind his buddy, Wilson. Ed graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Mt. Oliver, served three years in the the United States Navy, and was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. He proudly served as a PA State Trooper for 30 years. During the early years of his career, he enjoyed being part of the PA State Police Field Exhibition, more commonly known as the State Police Rodeo. Spinney, as he was nicknamed by his fellow troopers, also enjoyed attending NASCAR races and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. The family would like to thank Gallagher Hospice for their excellent care and support. Thank you to our friends for your love, prayers and support.
