Etienne "Sparky" Kates

Age 58, unexpectedly at his Pittsburgh home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Beloved father of Eietyoung Lee Kemp. Dear son of Dorothy (Scott) and the late Mike T. Kates, Jr. Brother of Kelly Hollaman, Gardina, Tracy, Warren, Terry, Chris Kates and the late Lana Platt and Armand Kates. Also survived by a loving family and friends. Sparky's talent was a handy man, always there when needed day or night and loved by everyone who knew him. Celebrate Sparky's life on Friday 11:00 AM service at the SCHEPNER- McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton, PA 15205. Immediately following the service, a Repass will be held at the Craftonian Hall, 48 Division Street, Crafton, next to the funeral home.
