Francis D, "Frank" Schneider, Jr. age 76, of Stowe Township, formerly of Sheraden, peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Beloved husband of 53 years to Jean H. (Weaver) Schneider. Loving father of Dale J. Schneider and Frank V. (Kristen) Schneider; pap of Christian, Corey, Gabrielle, Taylor, Nico, and Hunter. Brother of Cecelia Hayley, Elaine Hammel, Charlotte Budzik, Denise Majors, Frederick, William, Bernard, Mark, and Dale Schneider and the late Donna Hickman. Frank served in the US Marine Corp from 1964-1968, in which, the last year of service was spent fighting in Vietnam. After being discharge from the military he then worked for Distributor Service, Inc. (DSI). While working at DSI he started his own company out of the back of a pickup truck. In 1977, he went solo with Schneider Trucks which is still in operation today. He was a member of the F & AM Avalon Lodge #657 where he was a Past Master and captain of the Syria Shrine Harley Motor Corp. He was also a lifetime member of the American Legion. Frank loved collecting antique cars, and Lionel Trains. Frank even raced stock cars when he was in is mid 50’s. Family and friends will be received Sunday & Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11 AM in Ascension Church of St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.
