James J. “Jay”

James J. "Jay" Smith, age 75, of Crafton, peacefully at Celebration Villa on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.  Beloved husband of 52 years to Bernadette M. (Colosimo) Smith.  Jay was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Florence Smith, brother T. Richard Smith and sister-in-law Michelle Colosimo.  He is survived by sisters-in-law Francine (Dan) Flaherty, Claudette (David) Grine, and Francis (Wendy) Colosimo; special cousin of Cory Conan of the sisters of Charity.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  Jay was an avid golfer and was proud of having a hole in one.  He still pursued his love of golf even after his physical ability to play was effect by Parkinson’s disease dementias with Lewy bodies by watching the golf channel.  The family would like to express a thank you to Three Rivers Hospice for the gentle and compassionate care in Jay’s final week.  Relatives and friends received Sunday 4-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM.
