James Hoy Witner
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 28, 2021, at the age of 89, surrounded by his family after living a complete life filled with joy, service and love. He was a faith-filled man and was formerly employed by Mosebach Electric Supply for over 40 years. Jim always remained active, refereeing for the Little Cougars Football League, Singing in The Barbershop Quartet, and in the choir at the former Crafton United Methodist Church. He was a active volunteer for The Crafton Meals on Wheels and Salvation Army. He loved to walk for exercise, and in his later years he lived at Country Meadows, where he was the volunteer Social Director, never missed Happy Hour and the Ice Cream Social. Jim was preceded in death by his Wives Marjory (Montgomery) Witner of 46 years and Faye Witner. Loving and devoted father of Susan (Tom) Caldwell, Lorraine (Mike) Fleming, Jim "Spanky" (Cindi) Witner, Tom (Amy) Witner and the late Linda and Darlene "Tiny" Witner and Cindy Dufour. Dear Grand-Pap and Pappy to Frankie, Margie, Lee, Keith, Tina, Melissa, Julie, Johnny, Shane, Jessica, Mikey, Dylan, Taylor, J.D., Thomas, Luke, Hannah, and Lydia.18 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Brother of Albert, Johnny and the late Alice, Catherine, Eleanor, Gertrude, Ruth, and Wallace "Butch". Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Jim will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Visitation Monday 6 - 8 pm Tuesday 2 - 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the Schepner-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton, PA 15205. Facial Masks and Social Distancing are required. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at the Union Presbyterian Church, Robinson Township. In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions may be made in Jim's name to the Salvation Army1821 Broadhead Forging Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
