Joan M. (Luxbacher) Mondine

Joan M. Mondine, age 81, of Oakwood, peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, with her son by her side.  Beloved wife of the late Jerome Mondine.  Loving mother of Jeffrey, James (Mary Lou), John (Connie), Joey (Arlene), Jerome, Justin (Andrea) Mondine; sister of the late Peggy Kelly and Thomas Luxbacher; dear sister-in-law of Patricia Mondine and Judy Luxbacher.  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Joan was formerly employed in various positions at St. John Vianney Manor for many years. Her best time was spent raising and being with her cherished family.  Relatives and friends received Sunday 1-3 PM & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton.  Funeral prayer 9 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in The Parish of St Raphael the Archangel, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 330 Third Street, Carnegie.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, 1101 Western Avenue, Pgh, PA 15233 or (www.humaneanimalrescue.org).
