John M. Gilardi

John M. Gilardi, age 75, of Crafton passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Saturday, September 2, 2023. He was the son of the late August and Nell Gilardi, and brother of the late Joanne. He is survived by his wife Joan, sisters-in-law Marian (Charlie), Ruth (Dave) and brother-in-law Ed (Diane). Also survived by loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and his furry companion, Snowball. John attended Canevin Highschool and the University of Pittsburgh. He was an avid fan of music and had an encyclopedic knowledge of many kinds of music. He himself was a talented piano player as well. He loved riding bicycles and hiking and was a lifelong car enthusiast who knew his way around an engine. Relatives and friends received Friday, September 8, 2023, from 10 AM- 12 PM at SCHEPNER- McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton, where a funeral service will be held at 12 PM. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to an animal charity of one's choice.
