JOSEPH W. MANZELLA

Age 84, of Carnegie, formerly of Sheraden, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. Beloved husband of 62 yrs. to Elizabeth “Tootsie” (Schipani) Manzella; father of Marie C. Manzella; brother of Celeste (Jimmy) Lach and the late Annette Demor and Vince Manzella; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was a US Army Veteran. After the service, he worked with remodeling, before going into the insurance business with American General until retiring as a staff manager after 20 years of service. Joe was a natural born carpenter and he also enjoyed golfing, cards and horse-racing. Visitation TUESDAY ONLY 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the SCHEPNER-MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Ave., Crafton. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Wednesday in Ascension Church of St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry St., Pittsburgh 15205, where Joe was a longtime member. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors at a later date for family only.
