Mary Patricia Kennedy

Age 64, of Kennedy Twp., formerly of Rosslyn Farms and Crafton, died peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020, at UPMC Mercy Hospital. She was the daughter of the late William Kennedy, Sr. and Genevieve (Harris) Kennedy; beloved sister of William P. Jr. (Barbara Wang), Mary Beth (James) Veri, Marianne (Michael) Evans and Mary Lourdes (Gary) Gegick; cherished aunt of Laura Kennedy (Dan Chavas) and Katherine Kennedy-Lynch (John Lynch), Elizabeth, Patrick (fiance, Kelsey Wellmon) and Andrew (Sara) Veri, Genevieve (Adam) Dupont, Caroline Evans (fiance, Grant Hebrank) and Emily (Jack) Champion, Peter (Betsy), Thomas and Margaret Gegick; and many special cousins and friends. As she would say, “We a close family." Pat attended St. Anthony School in Oakmont and was a graduate of Pathfinder School. She attended post-graduate studies at John White. Pat was employed by Achieva, first in Carnegie and then in Bridgeville for over 40 years. During her time at Achieva, her proudest achievement was working on the Cintas contract and as those who knew her can attest, she proudly wore her Cintas uniform all the time. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her nieces and nephews-the feeling was mutual. She loved music, especially the soundtracks from Mary Poppins and the Sound of Music and any song by the Partridge Family. Her favorite activities also included reading the obituaries and letting her family know of any acquaintances who passed away. She was witty, sarcastic and kind and loved by every person who met her. Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts, but we thank God we were blessed with her in our lives. Special thanks to Achieva, where she worked for many years and Citizen Care (Partners for Quality) where she lived since 2011. The family is especially grateful to the staff of Citizen Care for the care they gave to Pat as her health declined. Due to the current public health crises, there will be NO VIEWING. Family and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Philip Catholic Church on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. A celebration of Pat’s life will be announced at a later date.
