Mary Ellen (Scanlon) Trageser

Mary Ellen "Cissy" (Scanlon) Trageser, age 72, of West End, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2023.  Beloved wife of 50 years and love of her life Raymond “Larry” Trageser.  Loving mother of Ira, Chuck, and John (Jennifer) Trageser; cherished grandmother of Alyssa, Miranda, Zayra, Brianna, and Ira, Jr; sister of Martin (Patricia) Scanlon, Tracy Scanlon, and the late Mark Scanlon; daughter of the late Jack and June (Carrick) Scanlon; also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  She started her career caring for special needs children.  Cissy enjoyed spending summers at Geneva on the Lake.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Relatives and friends received, Sunday 12 – 6 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Funeral prayer Monday 10:15 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Philip Parish, Ascension Church, 114 Berry Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
