Mary Jane (Derence) Liberto

Mary Jane "Aunt Jane" (Derence) Liberto, age 92, of Oakwood, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.  Mary Jane was very proud of being born and raised on the North Side section of Pittsburgh.  Beloved wife of the late John S. Liberto.  Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parent Joseph and Helen Derence; siblings Leonard, Fannie, and Anthony “Busch” Derence; nephew Jeff Ray and great-nephew Jeffrey.  She is survived by her sister-in-law and dear friend Rhoda Derence; cherished nieces and nephews Patricia Ray, Leonard (Doreen) Derence, Mae (David) Morgan, and Michele (Shawn) Zwigart; great nieces and great nephews Christopher (Trish), Brandi (Kris), Dion (Marti), Justin (Dani), David (Carly), Jeffrey (Marguerite), Tony (Brittany). Mallory (Jeff), and Stacey (Bill).  She is also survived by 17 great-great nieces and nephews but is called Aunt Jane by everyone. Mary Jane was retired from Bell Telephone.  The family would like to thank their lifelong friend Joyce Joseph for never leaving Aunt Jane’s side.  Relatives and friends received Friday 1-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton.  Funeral prayer Saturday 8:45 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Catholic Church, 50 W. Crafton Avenue, Crafton.
