Phyllis M. (McCabe) Finn

Phyllis M. (McCabe) Finn, age 90, Thornburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2023. Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Alfred “Al” Finn.  Loving mother of Kathleen Finn, Gregory (Averil) Finn, Daniel (Kristine) Finn, Julie (John) Gardner, and Edward (Jeanine) Finn; cherished grandmother of Jon (Leanne), Brian, Shawn, Ross, Lukas, Nicholas, Michael, Gregie, Jenna, and Iggy; great-grandmother of Kendall; daughter of the late Phillip B. and Mary T. (Gracki) McCabe; sister of the late Adele Schroeder of Dallas, TX.; also survived by nieces and nephews. Phyllis was adventurous, active in the Green Tree community and very active in her church and catholic school community.  She was independent and enjoyed traveling.  Phyllis was the former manager of the Tic Toc Restaurant at Kaufmanns Department Store. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from IUP and was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. One of her biggest joys was spending time with her family and cooking delicious homemade meals.  Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 AM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 5718 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136.  Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton.  Contributions in her memory may be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or (www.littlesistersofthepoorpittsburgh.org).
