Obituary

Robert “Bob” Alan Bekish, age 75, of Crafton passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 2, 2023 surrounded by his family. A lifetime Pittsburgh resident, he was born on July 20, 1947. After high school, Bob worked for Heinz, Armour, and retired from Myers Dental Lab. Bob enjoyed watching sports, dancing, music, spending time with friends, casinos, going to Steeler games, discussing politics, and watching TV with his cats. He loved his trips to California and Las Vegas, and The Rolling Stones. Bob is survived by his daughter and caregiver Michele Raso (John), daughter Leanne Bekish (Domingo), son Michael Harp (Debbie), friend and former wife Mary Ann Bekish, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, cousins, his beloved cats Janice and Eve, and good friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel Raymond and Francis Evelyn (Whitesell) Bekish, and half brother Sam Jr. To those who knew him, please think of Bob the next time you raise a glass or pull a slot. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank UPMC Hospice for their help and dedication throughout this difficult time.
