Robert Vitale

Robert J. "Bob" Vitale, age 97, of Crafton Heights, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023.  Beloved husband of 71 years to the late Eleanor (Tuscynski) Vitale.  Loving father of Donna (Jack) McCambridge; cherished grandfather of Kelly (Mike) Devine, Kim McCambridge (Jim Welsch), and John McCambridge (Stacey Kearns); great-grandfather of Kenzie Hauger, Zach Christe, and Tristin Christe.  Robert was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  Bob was always willing to give a helping hand helping family with home projects.   He served in the US Army during WWII.  Bob was an all-around great man and will be dearly missed by his family.  Relatives and friends received Thursday 1-3 & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton.  Funeral prayer Friday 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Philip Catholic Church, 50 W. Crafton Avenue, Crafton.  Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org
