Roberta (Baldwin) Jordan
Age 86, of the Willows, Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2021, surrounded by her family. Formerly of Warwood, near Wheeling, West Virginia, she was preceded in death by her loving parents Gertrude and James Baldwin and her brother Daniel. She is survived by Nicholas, her loving husband of nearly 66 years, her children Greg (Ellen) of Sewickley and Suellen Gallegos (Jose) of Thornburg, grandchildren Emma, Audrey, Maggie and Jordan, her brother Walter, and many nieces, nephews and cousins from her large extended family. Following her graduation from Warwood High School she graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh and had long career as a nurse at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, where she served for many years in the Recovery Room. Roberta loved spending time with her family and enjoyed the Wheeling Symphony, musicals, and extensive travels with family to Florida, New York City, California, and Europe. Her favorite saying late in life was "Old age ain't for sissies." The family would like to thank the residents and staff of The Willows, her caregivers Beth Zimmer and Mackenzie Wissner, physical therapist Chris Georgetson, and the outstanding team from Pilgrimage/Transitions Hospice.
