Rodger L. Stolburg, age 88, of Crafton, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Loving husband of 47 years of the late Millie Stolburg; cherished father of Valerie (David) Bursic; proud grandfather of Alexandra Bursic, Jacqueline (Justin) Schmiedel, and David Bursic, Jr.; dear companion of the late Thomasine Damits; brother of Marilyn (the late Jesse) Lesko and the late Alvin H. (surviving spouse Betty) Stolburg; son of the late Alvin L. and Mary Stolburg. Rodger is also survived by nieces and nephews. Rodger was a heavy equipment operator of 45 years for the Norfolk & Southern and Wheeling & Lake Erie Railways. He served in the US Army from 1956-1958 as a field medic. In his retirement, Rodger enjoyed golf and fishing and was an avid model railroad enthusiast. He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle manner. The family would like to give special thanks to the staffs at Good Samaritan Hospice, UPMC Passavant, the Community at Holy Family Manor and Fresenius at Robinson for their incredible care and compassion. As per Rodger's request there will be no viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Catholic Church, 50 W. Crafton Avenue, Crafton followed by military honors. Interment private.
