Thomas J. Heinzman, Jr.

Age 57, Oakwood, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday October 26, 2023.  He was born December 1, 1965, in Pittsburgh to Judith A. Smith and the late Thomas J. Heinzman, Sr.  He married Paula (Krugle) Heinzman on May 26, 1990, and celebrated 35 years together, 33 of which they were happily married.  Tom was a hard-working bricklayer for more than 25 years; he loved hunting and being outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He is preceded in death by his father Thomas J. Heinzman, Sr.  Surviving in addition to his wife Paula are his sons  TJ (Amanda) and Troy (Lydia) Heinzman; two grandsons, Nolan and Jordy Heinzman, grandchild Grayson Thomas on the way and another grandchild on the way, mother Judith Smith; brother Rick Heinzman engaged to Nancy St Amand, step-brother, James Smith married to Shelley Smith; two sisters in law Pamela (Krugle) Barone married to Tony Barone, Philana (Krugle) Davis married to Daniel Davis and one brother-in-law Patsy Krugle; son-in-law of Peggy Krugle; and many nieces and nephews.  Tom was, still is and always will be so loved.  He was the most caring, giving, and loving person.  His wife would tell everyone that she could, “Everyone needs a Tom.”  The family feels blessed to have had him in their lives as long as they did.  They would like to personally thank the AHN Hospice staff that cared for him.  Relatives and friends received Monday, October 30, 2023, from 1-3 & 6-8 PM at SCHEPNER-McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton where a Funeral Prayer will be held Tuesday October 31, 2023, at 1PM.  Interment Private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to AHN Hospice and Palliative Care, 4818 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 1524 or (www.ahn.org/hospice)
