Tom McKittrick, Sr.

Tom McKittrick, Sr. age 79 of Crafton Heights passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Beloved husband of 56 years to Barbara (Newham) McKittrick. Loving father of daughter Tracy (Brian) Link, son M. Thomas (Monica Bey) McKittrick, Jr., cherished grandfather of Damian, Darian, Dalton and Delanie Link.

Preceded in death by his mother Dorothy McKittrick and sister Donna Kappert. He is survived by his sister Barbara Schriner. Tom is also survived by sister-in-law Donna (Jim) Gamrod, brothers-in-law Robert (deceased)(Robin) Newham, Don (Mary) Newham, and Michael (Amy) Newham. He will be missed by his many friends, nieces and nephews, and his furry companions Binx and Carmel.

Tom retired after some 40 years of service from Lucent Technologies. He enjoyed travelling, gardening and watching all sports, especially the city’s Black & Gold teams. He was a long-time member of the AT&T Credit Union and served for many years on the Board of Directors.

Relatives and friends received Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 at SCHEPNER McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton. Funeral prayer to be held Friday at 9:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Ascension Catholic Church, 114 Berry Street, PGH., PA 15205. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
