Yvonne M. (Bardits) Coughlin

Age 87, of Elliott passed peacefully on Wednesday October 14, 2020.  Born May 27, 1933, beloved daughter of Andrew Bardits and Adelaide (Olesky) Bardits Carroll and stepfather James Carroll.  Dear sister of Irene, Adelaide, Eleanor, and Norma.  Devoted mother of children Elizabeth, Adelaide, Mary Ann, George, Lisa, and the late Yvonne.  Survived by thirteen grandchildren (Jeanne, Phillip, Aaron, Veronica, Michelle, Michael, Dru, Will, Georgie, John, Mark, Austin, and Jacob). Eight great-grandchildren (Renee, Christian, James, Jude, Seth, Kora, Johnny, Antonio and Dominic), and one great-great-grandchild (Brian).

Yvonne was kind of heart and a maternal spirit to all around her, always ready to lend a helping hand or feed those who were hungry.  Her great talent was singing, and for several years, she sang in a choir, but her dream in life was to be a mother.  She would eventually become mother to six children – six less than she desired, six more than she was told by doctors she could have – and raised them through both hardship and happiness with great devotion.  Yvonne is remembered for her giving and candid nature and her love of birds, butterscotch candy, and a big, comfy chair.

 Due to current CDC health guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed.

Funeral arrangements are with Schepner-McDermott Funeral Home Inc. at 165 Noble Avenue, Crafton PA 15205.  Family and friends will be received for the viewing on Sunday, October 18th, from 2-8PM.  The funeral service will be held at the same address on Monday, October 19th, at 11AM.
